I’m Back! Again.

And so, I’m in Key West, diving, writing and fielding calls and texts from clients who have little if any respect for vacation time.  That’s okay.  I have little respect for it as well, or so I’m told.  I haven’t posted a blog in a long time.  I haven’t done so for a number of reasons including a concern of repercussions, private anomie, and mostly a sense of “what’s the point?”  Well, after careful consideration, I’ve determined there is a point.  The world is crashing and we need to speak up.  Our United States have lost our borders, our faith in justice, our faith in institutions, our faith in our currency, our status in the world, and our hope for the future.  I have, anyway.  The bottom line is that way too many of our citizens are ignorant, a lot of them purposefully, of the reality around them.  They feel that as long as they can eat, pay their mortgage or rent (or their mother for their spot in the basement), pay their cell phone bill and a few things more, what could go wrong?  Our younger populous has little ambition for home ownership, auto ownership, or success.  Instead, they are interested in security even if they get their security from their mother’s basement and the hope she has a life insurance policy to which they are the beneficiary.  And yet, despite their vacant ambition, they present with that oh so obnoxious combination of ignorance and arrogance.  High on my list of despicable personalities is the person who is stupid but doesn’t know it.  And man, are there a lot of them of late.

And it’s not just the youth.  If you want a dose of utter ignorance, turn on the news.  Listen to Lindsey Graham, Mitch McConnell, Joe Biden, Mitt Romney, Gavin Newsom, Nancy Pelosi, Anthony Fauci, Janet Yellen, and hundreds of other politicians.  Add to that everybody at CNN, MSNBC, and half the cast at Fox News, and guaranteed, you suffer an over-dose of ignorance.  Our leaders, elected, appointed or hired, are living in a bubble of ignorance.  They are in a retarded circle jerk with one rule.  “You don’t tell me I’m an idiot and I won’t tell you that you are an idiot, and we can make this gig last for quite some time.”

So, we, the people in the middle, the ones who are smart, work hard, dream, have aspirations and goals, are self-reliant and personally responsible, are getting squeezed in a macabre sandwich of stupidity.  The ones above us are gallivanting us down a path to utter collapse and misery.  The ones below us are blissfully ignorant, supportive of whoever makes them feel the best.  I am fairly certain our power structure, the social-political one, not the energy grid, is well aware of the blissful idiocy of our people and as they say, whoever the hell “they” are, they play to their audience, tell them what they want to hear.  What are power players don’t do is embrace anybody (us) who seeks to impose any accountability or responsibility upon them.

It is killing our country.  I used to say the U.S. of A. Is dying the death of a thousand cuts but the cuts are now large gashes and things have sped up.  The climate is not going to destroy the world in twelve years (I think it’s down to eight A.O.C.), but we are on a path to destroy our nation in about that amount of time.  And I mean destroy, not just damage or injure, but destroy.

Unless we draw the line and speak up, hold people accountable, tell people what we think.  As to speaking up, screw a person’s desired pro-nouns.  Call them he if they are a guy and she if they are a girl.  Pull your kids out of public schools if they are having drag queen shows, providing litter boxes for furries, or shouting how great diversity is for everyone.  As to holding people accountable, truly do it.  Stop socializing with the relative who votes for Bernie Sanders or Elizabeth Warren or any of the other hidden communistas.  Don’t go to a sporting event if they are pushing BLM or gay pride.  Gay pride is a peculiar one.  As a heterosexual libertarian, I don’t believe in any discrimination based on sex, gender or sexual preference.  Hire the best person no matter what they think they are or who they desire to screw.  But, I also don’t believe a person should define themselves by what they do with their genitalia, let alone be proud of it.  It is what it is, right?  And most of all, have the courage to shout it out.  Make it clear that you are a traditional American and you believe in freedom, true freedom, not some woke redefinition of freedom because there is no such thing.  Definitely, don’t support critical race theory which is inherently evil, a dark oxymoron if there ever was one.  To suggest that the end of racism can only be accomplished by being racist is as stupid as it gets.

The point of this post is to get people talking, to get them voicing their opinions, getting in people’s faces as the saying goes.  It is also to make it clear that I am an American.  I like secure borders, limited government, gun rights, low taxes, liberty, opportunity and freedom.  I love the United States of America, its founding, its successes, even its failures.  It is who we are, who we should be proud of in fact.  My outspoken candor may cost me.  It may hurt book sales.  It may turn off investors in Talkdust, Inc.  I may even piss off a few liberal judges.  So be it.  I’ve decided not to go down without a fight.  Basically, one day at a time, I’m back.  But, for now, I’m going to the gym with my sons to lift some iron and then I’m going scuba diving.  And when I’m done with that, I’ll get back to work and do my best to do my part in righting the course of the great ship U.S.A.  You should, too.

God Bless America. I am back!
