PUTIN’S DEAD END, by BRETT REETZ
Vladimir Putin has pulled off the impossible. He has set himself up to appear inferior to Joe Biden, a nearly impossible accomplishment. He is about to make Joe Biden’s destruction of a nation look amateurish. Putin is about to destroy a nation in record time, his, not the Ukrainians. Yet, leave it to Vladimir, he’s going to pull it off, not a small feat. It took a lot of work to be so ignorant. I am of the belief that success is easier than failure. It’s definitely more enjoyable, sometimes not even feeling like work it’s so fun. But, failure, that takes some blood, sweat and tears, and of course, work. And Vladimir is bleeding, sweating and soon will be crying if he isn’t already. Here’s what it took:
The first thing he had to do was get himself believing that he could just invade another country that isn’t threatening his country, which isn’t entirely true. The Ukraine is a threat to Russia because it has trended toward a western style democracy, freedom and liberty included – and it is so close to being just like Russia. Other than the oligarchs, authoritarianism, and occasional killing of a political rival or an outspoken journalist, it isn’t much different at all. And there lies the threat, because Russians and Ukrainians are akin to two German Shepherds raised by different owners, one nice loving owner and one mean one, probably a mean drunk owner if I want to get the metaphor right. When they go to the park to play, and one German Shepherd is well behaved and one isn’t, well, they’re basically the same dog, which means, you’ve got to blame the owner. In the simplest of terms, Ukraine makes Vladimir look bad.
The second thing he had to do was ignore the current state of affairs in the world. Yes, conquest used to be a great tool for the growth of a nation state, but those days are gone. There’s too much access to information, too much international trade and communication and not enough nationalistic hate for one another to justify pulling conquest out of the tool box when it comes to expanding borders. Now-a-days, if you want to conquer a nation, you do it from the inside through the corruption of morals, education and government. What you don’t do is just go out and take land from somebody else. No-sirreee, you infect the nation with self-hate, drive the price down, and buy it. The problem Putin has is a lack of funding. Unless you’ve got money, like China, an immoral corrupt administrative state has nothing to use to infect another nation, an inability to drive the price down. China, like Russia, is immoral, fascist and totalitarian, but China has money, a lot of it. Russia does not. And Vladimir stupidly believes his old sickle is still functional in today’s world. It isn’t.
The third thing he had to do was ignore the future, I mean like not even consider it. Does he not see that even if he prevails, he loses? Does he think that he can just take the Ukraine and after it’s taken, show up in D.C. at one of Pelosi’s cocktail parties or a fireside chat at the Whitehouse? Sure, he’s probably still in the pink with Bernie, but for the most part, he’s kicked himself out of the globalist club. He’s put himself in the same league as Kim Jong-un, Muammar Gaddafi, Saddam Hussein and the Iranian Mullahs, two of which are dead. Can he even face his people? Unlikely. The Russian people appear to be a bit unhappy about their boss’s current foreign venture. And the oligarchs, his real pals; how long will they endure their diminishing wealth before they turn on the leader of their pack? Not long is a good guess.
There is news-talk that Vladimir is experiencing some health problems, both physical and psychological, which would explain his short-sighted attack on the Ukraine – but not excuse it. Speaking of short, has there ever been a guy with more of a short-guy complex? Maybe Napoleon, but the juries still out on this one. But, here lies the problem. An insecure rat faced short guy with a Napoleon complex has acted out, done something that cannot be undone. He has, of his own accord, cornered himself in a dead-end alley with no escape routes whatsoever. And it is a Nightmare Alley, a lot more worrisome than the recent movie, a lot darker and more depressing, too. Real people are actually getting killed. And like the movie Nightmare Alley (See it for the post-mortem value. You might think it’s artsy and it does lend itself to post viewing discussion), the lead character needs to suffer consequences for his actions. Unlike the movie, Vladimir will not go quietly into the night, or more correctly, into the cage. But, whether he wants to or not, Vladimir needs to be caged. Here’s how to do it:
- Russia is a single commodity economy. Fossil Fuel is all they got. So, drive the oil prices down and bankrupt Russia. Russia doesn’t make a penny if the price of barrel of oil falls under $44.00 a barrel. In 2016, that was the price of oil. But it gets worse for the Rusky’s. Their government, given their debt and spending and the percentage of revenue oil makes up, requires $68.00 a barrel to keep them out of the annual red. So, open up federal drilling, get the Keystone back on line, and drill-baby-drill. We can get the price down, greatly help our economy and bankrupt Russia, again.
- Cut a deal with Germany so Germany gets its natural gas from the United States. That would be a massive hit to the Russians. Germany is customer number one for the Rusky’s and if they lose it, well drink up boys, it might be your last. Hell, supply all of Europe with natural gas.
- Supply the Ukraine with arms, a, to use a technical term, shit load of it. Build an arms depot on the Ukraine-Poland border and start funneling in massive amounts of weaponry. The Ukrainians have the courage and will, they just need the weaponry.
- Start a propaganda campaign to divide Russia. Let’s be honest, unless you’re an oligarch, Russia doesn’t have a Russian Dream like Americans have. (barely – Let’s go Brandon). Hit the Russian troops with propaganda. Remind them that they’re fighting for a shorty with an attitude, a Mr. Asshole with a short life span – and if they just lay down their arms, join the freedom lovers, who genetically could be their cousins, maybe even are, their lives will improve immensely.
- Get tough with China. Let China know that if they so much as smile in the direction of Russia, the sanctions increase, buy America gets revitalized, and their kids can’t infiltrate Harvard and Yale anymore.
- Expel all Russians from the United States and stop all foreign travel of Russians into all NATO nations, unless the Russians want to become citizens. Hell, we’re letting in two million mostly uneducated, illiterate and unskilled immigrants a year, what could it hurt to let in some Russians who are predominantly Christian?
- Sanction Russia big-time, not a loop-hole ridden for show gesture, but real sanctions. Make the oligarchs poor. Shut Russia out, anywhere and everywhere possible – and for God’s sake, stop buying their oil.
This will stop him. It will effectively cage him. It should be his inevitability, except for one thing, Biden. I’m not so sure the current leadership in Washington really minds so much about what Vladimir is doing. Sure, for show, they talk a good game, but do they really have contempt for Vladimir, or is it envy for him? I’m not so sure, but the weak knee porous and conflicting response so far indicates that Washington is not as serious as they claim they are when it comes to helping the Ukraine. They should be. We have an extraordinary opportunity to correct the path the world is presently on with Russia and China, two awful nations (unless you’re in the leadership), nearing supremacy, especially China. And if we handle Russia right, now, at this time, won’t that dissuade China from its plans regarding Taiwan? For sure. Biden has been handed a fat pitch, but not a strike by any means. Vladimir has sealed his fate by throwing such a wild pitch. Yet, despite the pitch being wild, it’s hittable, home-run hittable. Let’s see if Biden swings. Either way, Vladimir is going down and likely bringing his country with him, although, without Vladimir at the helm, Russia may experience a renaissance of sorts. The Russian people most certainly deserve their own renaissance after all the vile scum they’ve had to genuflect to for the last century. Come on Joe, help them get it.
